Thanks for this roundup! Will be ordering a couple of these and forcing myself to stop and read occasionally. Counter-recommendation if you haven't already found it: Dark Eden by Chris Becket. A wonderful vision of a tribe of people surviving but dwindling in a geothermal hotspot on a cold, dark planet. Multi-person perspectives, and great worldbuilding, with a good quest element. Found myself lingering in its world for days afterwards!! And posting this has prompted me to discover it has a sequel - so thanks!
