I had lots of fun writing the code, fiddling with the output, and blogging about the process.</p> <p>Four years later I realised I could pay a poster shop to print it out!</p> <p>So I <a href="https://www.redbubble.com/i/poster/The-Great-er-Bear-by-terenceeden/154273792.E40HW?ref_list_id=srp_results&amp;ref_list_index=0">uploaded it to my RedBubble shop</a> and paid about a tenner for them to print me off a HUGE version.</p> <img src="https://shkspr.mobi/blog/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Poster.jpg" alt="Giant poster on the floor." width="1024" height="768" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-48864"> <p>The print quality was excellent:</p> <img src="https://shkspr.mobi/blog/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Detail.jpg" alt="Close up of the map showing the fidelity of the printing." width="1024" height="768" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-48863"> <img src="https://shkspr.mobi/blog/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Multilingual.jpg" alt="Non-English characters on the map." width="1024" height="768" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-48865"> <p>And I was going to use Bluetak to stick it to my wall when my brain did <em>another</em> remembering! You can go to eBay and ask someone to make you a precisely shaped frame!</p> <img src="https://shkspr.mobi/blog/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Framed.jpg" alt="The poster framed in a tasteful black wooden frame." width="1024" height="768" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-48862"> <p>If you've got a little doodle, or a massive canvas, or a great photo, or something which shows off your creative prowess - it's high time to release it from its digital prison and print it out as large as you dare.</p> <img src="https://shkspr.mobi/blog/wp-content/themes/edent-wordpress-theme/info/okgo.php?ID=48861&amp;HTTP_REFERER=RSS" alt="" width="1" height="1" loading="eager"> https://shkspr.mobi/blog/2023/12/you-can-print-posters-of-your-own-artwork-and-no-one-can-stop-you/feed/ 2
