About linking; I find it is not just the BBC who underlink to their sources, almost all websites are guilty of this. I personally will link to any external sources that I use. I suspect the lack of linking in geneal is driven by fear of being down-ranked by Google if the AI thinks the website they are linking to is "low-quality".
