I tried this with the BBC News website https://s0.wordpress.com/mshots/v1/https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bbc.co.uk%2Fnews?w=480&h480 The screenshot I get shows different stories to what I see if I view the website in a web browser. I'm in the UK. I guess the screenshot shows what the BBC News website looks like to Wordpress servers in the US.
