I am seriously confused regarding this argument about bridging to earth to provide a means to provide power to IC modules and the seeming insistence on no three wire ring circuits in UK lighting. My home was built late 1970s and all lighting is on a ring circuit WITH live, earth AND neutral. I am not an electrician but do have a modicum of logic having an Open University batchelors degree in maths and science. So who is right?
