@Edent heh. I was at a workshop recently where there were QR codes on our desks that we were all supposed to scan, to interact with quizzes and surveys during the event.

I scanned it. It took me to a page that said "Your QR code subscription has expired, please renew your subscription to access this link."

The organizers of the event had somehow been convinced you had to *subscribe to a service* to generate QR codes. And then they forgot to pay!
