What I think is an interesting question is where do you draw the line with regards to what is worth it and what isn't. For example, say you let the stadium screen slide and go with the slightly blurry assets. No, the world didn't end. And so the next time you take another little shortcut until your design deteriorates from highly considered with great attention to detail to just good enough.
As soon as you stop respecting a designers attention to detail, you no longer respect design. Those bugs they file when they want something moved 1 pixel, important. Especially when they all start adding up.
