I completely agree. We should keep to high standards. My original question was about whether the difference in quality was quantifiable. I can see that there's a difference between naming a variable $thing and calling it $current_tax_rate. But is there a difference between that at $CurrentTaxRate? With the graphic design, I can see a small difference. I want to know if it has any kind of meaningful impact on the user. From the discussion here, on Twitter, and HackerNews, it looks like it does.
