Good article, I personally think that there is a place for both technologies to co-exist and there will be times when one is better than the other. Price is of course a major factor and NFC will always be an order of magnitude or more greater then QR. Another issue that you can have with NFC is when the tag is in close proximity to metal. NFC tags stuck to lamp posts or bus shelter sign boards will usually not work at all.
