(Archived from AVforums) I'm always annoyed when I read people saying that "gold plated cable blessed by Trappist Monks" is the only way to get excellent picture quality. To my mind, bog standard CAT5 patch cable is capable off up to 100Mb/s - it should easily cope with component signals. To this end - I decided to whip up a cheap cable to see how it would perform.
