Sonnet #96
sum say thy fault is Uth, sum wantonness,
sum say thy grace is Uth & gentle sport,
Both grace & faults R luvd of more & less:
Thou mak'st faults graces, th@ 2 thee resort:
As on d finger of a throned queen,
d basest jewel will b well esteemed:
So R those errors th@ in thee R Cn,
2 truths translated, & 4 true things deemed.
How many lambs might d stern wolf betray,
If like a lamb he cud his looks translate!
How many gazers mightst thou lead away,
if thou wudst use d strength of all thy state!
bt do nt so, I luv thee in such sort,
As thou being mine, mine is thy good report.
