Sonnet #9
Is it 4 fear 2 wet a widowz eye,
th@ thou consum'st thy self in single life?
Ah, if thou issueless shalt hap 2 die,
d world will wail thee like a makeless wife,
d world will b thy widow & still weep,
th@ thou no 4m of thee hast left behind,
When every private widow well may keep,
By childrenz eyes, her husb&z shape in mind:
Look wot an unthrift in d world doth spend
Shifts bt his place, 4 still d world enjoys it;
bt beautyz waste hath in d world an end,
& kept unused d user so destroys it:
No luv toward others in th@ bosom sits
th@ on himself such murd'rous shame commits.
