Sonnet #80

O how I faint when I of U do write,
Knowing a better spirit doth use Ur name,
& in d praise throf spends all his might,
2 make me tongue-tied speaking of Ur fame.
bt since Ur worth (wide as d ocean is)
d humble as d proudest sail doth bear,
My saucy bark (inferior far 2 his)
On Ur broad main doth wilfully appear.
Ur shallowest help will hold me up afloat,
Whilst he upon Ur soundless deep doth ride,
/ (being wrecked) I am a worthless boat,
He of tall building, & of goodly pride.
Then if he thrive & I b cast away,
d worst was this, my luv was my decay.
