Sonnet #65
Since brass, nor stone, nor earth, nor boundless sea,
bt :-( mortality o'ersways thr power,
How wiv this rage shl beauty hold a plea,
Whose action is no stronger than a flower?
O how shl summerz honey breath hold out,
Against d wrackful siege of batt'ring days,
When rocks impregnable R nt so stout,
Nor gates of steel so strong bt time decays?
O fearful meditation, wr alack,
shl Timez best jewel frm Timez chest lie hid?
/ wot strong h& can hold his swift foot back,
/ who his spoil of beauty can 4bid?
O none, unless this miracle hv might,
th@ in black ink my luv may still shine bright.
